Jacket potato
Ingredients:
· 5 White Baking Potatoes
· Butter
· Salt
· Pepper
· Cheese
· 2 tins of Tuna
· 1 can of Baked Beans
· Mayonnaise
Equipment:
· Knife
· Chopping board
· Oven
· Tin/Can opener
· Spoon
· Fork
Method:
1. Firstly, you need to wash 5 potatoes with warm water.
2. Secondly, cut the potatoes in half.
3. Then, poke all the potatoes with a fork to make sure the inside gets cooked, and so the potato does not burst.
4. Next, wipe the potatoes with a clean towel, and whilst you are doing that, preheat the oven to 200C.
5. After that, rub butter around the whole potato. This helps the potato to get fluffy and soft, which is why you poked holes in the potato earlier.
6. OPTIONAL: Sprinkle salt and pepper or any spice of your choice for flavour.
7. Once you have done that, get a baking tray and line it with either a layer of foil or baking paper.
8. Bake the potato for 40-60 minutes, depending on the size of the potato.
9. Take the potato out of the oven and top it off with a piece of butter, and sprinkle it with salt and pepper.
10. Add toppings: cheese, baked beans, tuna, etc.
Tips:
· Choose the right potato.
· Add toppings and seasonings.
· After cooking the potato, wait for 5 minutes before serving.
· When cooking potatoes, try to cook the same-sized potatoes to be able to cook them for the same amount of time.
